Redditor _darth_solo has taken to the Nintendo Switch subreddit and has posted alleged inside information that Bayonetta 3 is coming out this year. His sources have been confirmed by the moderators of r/NintendoSwitch, although it is unsure of exactly where he got his information from. With the flurry of rumors going around surrounding the January Nintendo Direct (18 placeholder titles were posted and quickly pulled by Amazon for a “January Switch Event”), this wouldn’t be a huge surprise. Considering this Bayonetta 3 was literally just announced at The Game Awards, it makes one wonder what else Nintendo has for in store for 2018 if the rumor proves true.

I cannot personally reveal my source, but I have it on good authority from a reliable source that Bayonetta 3 will be released this year, maybe this summer. It will not be released later than 2018 barring a disaster.

I have confirmed my sources with the mods, u/FlapSnapple gave me the go ahead for this, so they can vouch for it. I’m sorry but I can’t say much more other than watch out for the Nintendo Direct because Bayonetta 3 will be one of those placeholder games that Nintendo is preparing to release. This direct may be Nintendo’s E3 if what we’ve heard is true.

Could the rumors surrounding Metroid Prime 4, originally released over a month ago by DasVergeban, as well as a new Animal Crossing Switch for this year be true? These were leaked by someone with a proven track record. We won’t know for sure until January 11 (supposedly), but 18 placeholder games is a lot.

We won’t know for sure until the Direct, but Nintendo likes to hold things close to the vest. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to release ports of the first two Bayonettas in February and then have us wait a year plus for the third game, so it would be logical to release it in 2018. It’s a sign of great things to come and if true proves that Nintendo has their ducks in a row.

2018 is going to be an incredible year for the Switch and this upcoming Direct is only the beginning.
