WTT, a French Distributor, has let it slip that the Batman Arkham is coming to the Nintendo Switch. This is a welcome surprise, as the Batman Arkham games are among the best superhero games of the last two generations. Nothing, save Spider-Man, has surpassed them. It’s not clear which games would be included; it could be anywhere from Arkham AssylumArkham OriginsArkham City, and Arkham Knight. There is no definitive release date and WTT only gave a release window of August 21, 2022, which is subject to change. Arkham Origins also did release on the Wii U, so the chance of this game being a part of the collection is unlikely. A three-pack with Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight is much more likely.

The Arkham games are amongst my favorite games of all time, so much so that I recently bought the games to play on the PlayStation 4 a month ago. If they come out on the Nintendo Switch though, I will no doubt be picking these up. The Arkham Collection coming to the Nintendo Switch will open the games to a brand new audience, as the original game came out in 2009, with Arkham City came out in 2011, with Arkham Knight coming out in 2015. There is so much potential to be had here and with the brand new Batman game coming out, it’s a great capitalization on the franchise’s success. Given the sales of the Nintendo Switch, it’s the perfect console to bring these games out on.
