The House in Fata Morgana has just received its Western release date, courtesy of Limited Run Games. Digitally, the PlayStation Vita launches today while the PlayStation 4 version launches June 11. Those hoping for a physical release are in luck as both are available Friday, May 31 through Limited Run’s website. Digital copies of the game are available for $39.99, with the physical version being $49.99. Two batches of this release are schedule for 7 AM PDT/10 AM EDT and 3 PM PDT/6 PM EDT. A collector’s edition is also up for grabs which features the game, its soundtrack spanning six CDs, 60+ page artbook, and an 18-inch x 24-inch poster all for $84.99. A description of the Visual Novel is as follows: “The House in Fata Morgana is a gothic tale set in a cursed mansion spanning nearly a millennium that deals in tragedy, human nature, and insanity. Your character wakes up with amnesia and meets a maid in the mansion. The two of you visit the mansion in different time periods to learn what has happened to its residents in the past and to regain your lost memories.” What makes this release a bit more special than its Japanese launch is the inclusion of additional games. Alongside the main The House in Fata Morgana, customers can also enjoy its prequel, A Requiem for Innocence, and its sequel, Reincarnation. On top of this, there are also short stories included, in case that wasn’t enough. The localization of the game has a bit of changes, as well. A 4K graphical upgrade is available for PS4 Pro users, while improvements were added for other versions. An updated UI design, refurbished backgrounds, enhancement of effects, remakes of art pieces, and plenty more unseen changes can also be expected.
