The UK software sales have been released for this past week in February, and the top two spots remain untouched. Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains on top, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe follows at number two. Again, Nintendo continues to dominate the sales charts, regardless of the region. The Nintendo Switch has been a monster hit for the company, and they are moving ever closer to topping the Nintendo Wii in total sales. They have a ways to go, but they’re ambitious in their goalsCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War holds the number three spot, with Ring Fit Adventure for the Switch jumping up to number four. Minecraft for the Switch jumped a spot to number five, with Grand Theft Auto 5 falling two spots to number six. Just Dance and Fifa 21 follow at numbers seven and eight, with Super Mario 3D All-Stars staying steady at number nine. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla went up from number 12 to number 10. Overall, half of the titles in the top 10 in the UK are Nintendo Switch games.

As the year goes by, will the Nintendo Switch increase its dominance, or can other companies find the same level of success that Nintendo has?
