With the announcement of Skyward Sword HD yesterday during the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo has released a slew of screenshots, including the box art for the game. Skyward Sword HD will be released on July 16 for the Nintendo Switch and is a remake/remaster of the 2011 game which commemorated the 25th anniversary of the series, ironically. This game comes out during the 35th anniversary of the franchise. The game includes both buttoned controls and motion controls, accomodating those who disliked the motion controls on the Nintendo Wii by giving them another option on how to play. It also allows those who own a Switch Lite to play the game, as the system does not dock nor do the Joy-Cons unattach. The game’s HD remake seems to have the fanbase split, as a select few think the game is unworthy to receive an HD remake when compared to previous Zelda games. Regardless, Skyward Sword is a classic tale with superb dungeons, puzzles, and a story for the ages, and deserves the full high-definition remake it is receiving. The game more than warrants it and in lew of Zelda’s 35th anniversary coming up, it’s more than fitting.

With that being said, here are a number of screenshots and the box art of the game released by Nintendo.
