Famitsu has revealed the top 30 selling games from November 4 through November 10. Death Stranding took the top spot, selling roughly 186,000 units. Luigi’s Mansion 3 fell to a distant second place, selling just over 50,000 units and 205,000 units year-to-date. Six of the top 10 games were Nintendo Switch titles, while just five PlayStation 4 titles appeared in the top 20. The Nintendo Switch continued to dominate sales, comprising of 22 of the top 30 games, accounting for almost 75% of all software sales in Japan. This is monumental. Eight of the games were either from the Zelda franchise or the Mario family of games.

As the holiday season quickly approaches, Nintendo is decimating the competition. Even if Sony is winding down, preparing for the launch of the PlayStation 5, this is unacceptable. The Nintendo Switch continues to gain momentum worldwide and will continue to be a force to be reckoned with for years to come. If Sony isn’t careful, they may just be overtaken.
