The Super Smash Bros. Japanese Twitter Account has updated with some interesting information. Starting February 5, a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament will take place. For this week, you can only use characters who have three or more projectile attacks. The tournament, again, will go live on February 5 and will run for three days. This is great news for Legend of Zelda fans, as all three Links will be eligible for the tournament, although sadly Princess Zelda misses the cut. With so many characters to choose from, there would be too many characters to list who are eligible. Here’s the Tweet from the Smash Bros. Twitter Account.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has already sold 22.85 million units worldwide. The game is the culmination of 21 years worth of work, considering the original came out in 1999. The game is the quintessential game in the franchise, and the definitive edition of any game in the series, even Melee. With 112 stages, with additional planned via DLC characters, and 85 playable fighters, with three more DLC characters yet to be unveiled, Smash Bros. Ultimate is not only one of the greatest fighting games of all-time, but the largest one as well. It’s a must-own for the Nintendo Switch. This latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament will be interesting, and it will be fun to be able to play as my favorite character(s), Link and Toon Link. This is exciting and it’s wonderful how Nintendo continues to support the community, and the game, despite being out for a bit.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate still has three DLC characters left on the horizon. Who they will be is anybody’s guess at this point. Again, this Super Smash Bros. tournament starts on February 5 and runs for three days.
