Another week, another issue of Famitsu. This week we have yet another Famitsu list of software sales from 1/18 through 1/24. This week’s list of software sales is dominated by Nintendo Switch games, with only one PlayStation 4 and one PlayStation 5 title. Nintendo continues the obliteration of its competition in Japan. Once again, the majority of the top 10 games are older Nintendo Switch games, with the exception of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This is the staying power of Nintendo’s first-party lineup. Ringfit Adventure is at number two; Animal Crossing is at number three; Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is at number five; Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is at number six; Splatoon 2 is at number eight; Pokemon Sword/Shield is at number nine; and Super Mario Party at number 10. Outside of the top 10, there is Age of CalamitySuper Mario 3D All-Stars, and Pikmin 3 Deluxe that do make the list, but there are so many older titles. It truly boggles the mind. Here is the list in full.
