Evangelion 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time is coming to Amazon Prime, it’s been announced. The final installment in the Rebuild of Evangelion films, which have spanned the course of almost 14 years, is coming to America and other countries globally. The full announcement is here, but the official Evangelion Twitter account also posted the announcement. The film is coming to 240 countries, which is enormous. A key question will be though, will Thrice Upon a Time be dubbed in English? Personally, I don’t watch or play dubs if I can avoid it, but if there’s no dub, Amazon and Khara would be killing a huge part of their market. It’s doubtful at this point that there will be no dub, especially how quickly we now get simuldubs in the West.

Evangelion 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time (the 1.01 must indicate some changes and improvements of some kind over the original) launches on Amazon’s streaming service on August 13, which is only a month and a half away. Many thought us in the West would have to wait years for the final Evangelion Rebuild film; now it’s only a month and a half away. And that is glorious.
Yes, it’s bittersweet that the franchise is coming to a close, but we can’t wait to see what Anno has in store for us!
