During Nintendo’s latest Direct, they showed a new trailer and unveiled a release date for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. The game is headed to the Switch on April 8. The game was originally supposed to come out in 2021, but was delayed. Advance Wars 1+2 is a remaster of the original GameBoy Advance games. These games were a lot of fun to grow up with and still maintain a very “old school” feel to them on the Switch. Here’s some information straight from Nintendo themselves:

New intel has arrived from the frontlines! Advise a memorable cast of Commanding Officers, now voiced, through two wild and charming Campaigns. You’ll encounter unique characters and diverse terrain, requiring you to develop strategies to succeed in battle. Beyond the campaigns of Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, go for high scores in the War Room, create and share custom maps in the Design Room, and battle friends and frenemies in Local and Online Multiplayer. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp marches onto the Nintendo Switch system on April 8.

The voiced bit is interesting and to top it all off it has online multiplayer! This may be overlooked by many, but Advance Wars 1+2 has piqued our interest.
