The final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker has dropped, and it’s ripe for dissection full of hidden details from throughout the Star Wars saga. While our analysis of the trailer will go up in a bit (it’s in progress), it does give credence to several of our previous spoiler reports. While things are still a bit unclear (some things are alluded to, others are still in question), we’re confident that the majority of our information is correct. As the final film in the Skywalker Saga, The Rise of Skywalker has a lot to live up to. The trailer shows an epic final confrontation between the rebellion, and what is presumably the First Order. Luke states in the trailer that the facing fear is the destiny of a Jedi. Rey has always been searching for belonging, trying to discover who she is. She states that everyone says they know her, yet no one does. This is her story. A story of growth, of self-discovery. Confronting the darkness within and overcoming it; that’s what Star Wars is about. As George Lucas has said many times, it’s a family soap opera.
Given this shot, the dichotomy between light and dark, brother and sister (?), may finally be revealed.
