To mark the festivities, Battle Royale players can hop off of a holiday-themed Battle Bus into the fighting below. Throughout the area, rocket launchers that shoot out explosive snowballs can be used, and gamers can hide in Legendary Bushes surrounded in Christmas lights. New and returning Limited Timed Modes are also set to be in a rotation for gamers to enjoy. For the duration of the event, new challenges can be completed to unlock different holiday items.
Save the World has new and old holiday-themed enemies in this snowy area. Every day, differently themed quests are unlocked that can earn snowflake tickets which can be used to buy items in the store. A free Upgrade Llama piñata can be found in the store as well. All users can check in for a free Smorgasbord Llama close to Christmas Day.
Fortnite has just launched their Season 7 Battle Pass which includes new emotes, skins, and sprays. The game has implemented new changes with this such as a biplane vehicle, zip lines, and an Infinity Blade. The Infinity Blade, however, has been taken out by the company due to backlash from the community for being overpowered.
The hit game is coming off of an impressive showing at 2018’s The Game Awards with four nominations. Two of these were winners with Best Multiplayer Game and Best Ongoing Game. The other two categories that it was a nominee for were Best Mobile Game and Best eSports Game. Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, a popular Twitch streamer and eSports player of the game, received the award for Content Creator of the Year, as well.
