In a surprising turn of events, Sony has reversed its policy regarding cross-platform play in FortnitePreviously, the gaming company did not allow its players to interact with those on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, or mobile. Multiple press releases hinted that PlayStation may never join in on this program. However, a tweet sent out this morning showing the change.

Epic Games has laid out its plans to fully implement this new addition to their family of systems. Firstly, an account merging system is set to be introduced in November. This will allow those that created separate profiles to combine progress with a single account. Secondly, unlinking an account from one account and relinking to another is going to appear in the next few days. All of these are planned to assist in the merging process for gamers.
