Capcom has just announced that the upcoming Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is delayed. In a statement released to fans, series producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya revealed that the release date has now shifted. Rather than releasing on January 1, 2020, the game is no set for a February 25, 2020 release. The full statement can be seen below:
“Heads up, Mega Fans: Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection will now be released on February 25, 2020. Read on for a message from Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, Mega Man Series Producer, and a bit more info about this new release date.
As many of you are aware, Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection was initially planned for release on January 21, 2020. However, the team made the tough decision to move the game’s release date back in order to bring you the best possible collection of these cherished classics and deliver a game that will live up to your expectations.
To paraphrase Mr. Tsuchiya’s words, the team greatly appreciates your patience and support and is fully committed to offering the best game possible in late February. We know this is disappointing for those of you who have been excited about this collection since the day we first announced it, and we appreciate your patience.”
The upcoming collection launches next year for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game includes all four Mega Man Zero titles, as well as Mega Man ZX and Mega Man ZX Advent. All six of these games will be included on the cart for no additional download on Switch, while also including new features, such as Competitive Rush Mode and Save-Assist.
