Major Spoilers: Do not read any further if you do not want to be spoiled for The Rise of Skywalker. Another day, another leak. Yesterday, we reported on an image that was leaked of Rey and Ben as they were about to face Palpatine together. Hours later, a new image surfaced, a leaked image of Palpatine facing Rey in The Rise of Skywalker. He is cloaked in ray garbs and shoots force lightning upwards, possibly hitting Resistance ships which are battling the new Imperial fleet above them in an epic, climactic showdown.

Leaked Image of Rey Facing Palpatine in The Rise of Skywalker

He’s back. The Palpatine we didn’t know that we’d see in the Sequel Trilogy but the one we are delighted to anyways. With Palpatine’s strength now back at full-force, presumably from some way of restoring his youth through manipulating The Force, like he told Anakin he could do, Palpatine is finally back in form. Going by the trailer, there’s a transition from a more feeble Palpatine to a rejuvenated one. We don’t know what transpires between these two points, but it will be wonderful to see Emperor Palpatine, Darth Sidious, back in full form while confronting Rey (and possibly Ben?) for supremacy over the galaxy.

It’s only fitting, if the leaked image of Rey facing Palpatine in The Rise of Skywalker is legitimate.

We’ll have to wait until December 20 to find out.
