During the PC Gaming Show’s live stream, it was announced that Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza 0 are coming to PC. The series had originally been only for PlayStation 4, however, Sega has shown their commitment to the PC platform.
These two games will also be joining Valkyria Chronicles 4 in their ports over to the PC. This will mark the first time that the Yakuza franchise will be playable on the computer. Fans have been clamoring for ports of the games for quite some time and now they see their wish come true.
The Yakuza franchise chronicles the hardships and drama found within the Japanese Yakuza. Kazuma Kiryu is the central character to the mainline series. Not only does it deal with complex and difficult themes, it is also outrageous and wacky. There are tons of minigames including batting practice, claw machines, and karaoke. The developers have been able to capture the attention of gamers since its release on the PlayStation 2.
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is the most recent release from the franchise. It launched earlier this year on PlayStation 4 and chronicled the final chapter of Kazuma Kiryu. Later this year, Yakuza Kiwami 2 will release on PlayStation 4 consoles. It had previously been available in Japan, but August 28 marks the Western release.
