Nintendo has released brand new gameplay footage of Bravely Default II via a short, but satisfying, video on Twitter. Bravely Default II is the third outing in the Bravely Default series behind Bravely Default and Bravely Default: End Layer. The game has no connection to the previous games in the series and features a brand new cast of characters. Bravely Default is quickly becoming Square Enix’s Final Fantasy on Nintendo consoles. Bravely Default II is coming out on the Nintendo Switch on February 26 and is one of the most-wanted games in Japan, according to Famitsu. It was originally slated for a 2021 release date but was delayed for unknown reasons. The tweet from Nintendo of America’s Twitter account reads:
“Take a moment to enjoy the captivating desert landscape in #BravelyDefault II. Just as beautiful during the night as in the day, but be ready for a challenge with the more aggressive enemies at night!”

The gameplay, as can be seen above, is a quick 30-second clip of the game’s main characters traversing a vast desert. The game has a day and night cycle, and enemies, as Nintendo noted, are much more difficult at night. Bravely Default II is one of the only games we know of that has been announced for this year and is being published by Nintendo. The rest of the year is shrouded in secrecy, but knowing Nintendo, they are sure to have much more up their sleeve.
Again, Bravely Default II releases for the Nintendo Switch on February 26.
