A new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 blade has been revealed by the official Xenoblade Twitter account. The blade’s name is Tokiha and has been designed by Takahiro Kimura, Code Geass’ character designer and chief animation director. Seeing as Code Geass is my favorite anime series of all time, this is fantastic news! Both the character design and the summon animation are very cool! One thing that I really appreciate about this game’s art is that all of the blades have a unique design, and all of them seem to have a unique function as well. It will be interesting to see this play out in the game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 comes out on December 1 for the Nintendo Switch. As one of the first major RPGs to hit the system, expectations are high. Tetsuya Takahashi hasn’t let Nintendo down yet though, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 looks like it could be the best game of the 3. Only time will tell, but Xenoblade has quickly become at least equivalent to Final Fantasy in this generation, which is a high achievement.

Hopefully, we’ll find out more about this Blade soon!
