Nintendo has announced new information regarding their upcoming release, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. In a newly updated description, the company revealed some more tidbits that surround this title. The biggest of these is that gyro support is planned to be supported which had not been mentioned in their previous information dump. Next, the game will allow players to reach new heights. Players can literally climb higher than they were able to in the original Wii U version.
Previously, Nintendo revealed loads of information that fans had been clamoring for ever since the port was announced. Bowser’s Fury, a previously unknown feature, was revealed to be an all-new campaign expansion. Those who played Super Mario Odyssey may feel right at home as this has an open world approach with users searching for Cat Shines. While exploring, a second player in local co-op can take control of Bowser Jr. to help aid in this adventure. Collecting a set amount of Cat Sprites can trigger Giga Cat Mario to fight Fury Bowser in an epic battle.
Amiibo collectors can also rejoice as two new figures have been unveiled. Cat Peach and Cat Mario amiibos bring their own unique features to the game. Tapping the Cat Peach figure into the game gives users a random power up while Cat Peach grants an Invincibility Bell. Support for previously released Super Mario amiibos are yet to be revealed.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is set to release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on February 12.
