Many new cosmetics are to be featured as well, with the biggest being pets. Pets will take the form of back-blings and can react to varying occurrences in gameplay. Calamity and DJ Yonder are the first two unlocks of this season’s Battle Pass, an unlock system that is priced at $10. Calamity is one of the progressive outfits which has different tiers of outfits, depending on player level. None of these affect gameplay and can be kept even after the season is over.
Fortnite also released a full list of patch notes that showcases varying buffs and fixes. A notable listing is for Shadow Stones. These are a new consumable that provide players with limited invisibility, but no weapons can be used while unseen. Another addition are four new islands: Floating Island, Corrupted Areas, Corn Fields, and Haunted Castle. Here are a few more features that will make an appearance.
