Famitsu has released their weekly sales numbers for the Japanese market, and to no one’s surprise, the Nintendo Switch is continuing to dominate. When it’s all said and done, the Switch managed to sell roughly 90,000 units, while the PlayStation 5 sold a measly 18,000 units. There is a superconductor shortage worldwide, but even as far as software goes Nintendo dominates the top 10, with only two non-Nintendo games in the list. Here are Famitsu’s numbers for hardware sales from 1/31 to 2/6.

Switch OLED – 43,051
Switch – 29,913
Switch Lite – 19,488
PS5 – 15,100
PS5 Digital Edition – 1,788
Xbox Series X – 3,071
Xbox Series S – 2,919
New 2DS LL – 264
PS4 – 8

For comparison’s sake, here are last week’s numbers:

Switch OLED – 46,947

Xbox Series S – 598

As far as software goes, Nintendo has an edge as well. Pokemon Legends Arceus is destroying the competition, and only two non-Nintendo games are on the charts: Dying Light 2 for the PlayStation 4 and for the PlayStation 5. Here are the top 10 best-selling games of the week in Japan.
