Atlus has revealed the release date for Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD. The game will be released for the Nintendo Switch and other platforms on May 25. Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne was the first Shin Megami Tensei game to be released outside of Japan, and first released in Japan in 2003. The Persona series is in fact a spinoff of Shin Megami Tensei. The series is wildly successful in Japan and Shin Megami Tensei V is currently one of the most-wanted games in Japan (it’s coming out on Switch.) One could say that Nocturne HD is releasing to build hype for Shin Megami Tensei V, which is one of our most-anticipated games of the year. Although it doesn’t have a release date yet, it is slated to come out this year. Shin Megami Tensei IV for the Nintendo 3DS was a fantastic game, and there’s no reason to think that Nocturne or Shin Megami Tensei V will disappoint.

There are two versions of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD being released. One is the standard version, which is priced at a reasonable $49.99. The digital deluxe version is priced at $59.99 and gives the player early access, which will begin on May 21, before the official release date of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne HD on May 25. Whenever Shin Megami Tensei V releases, Nocturne is sure to wet fans’ appetites for the fifth installment in the series.
