On March 28th, there will be a special stage for Attack on Titan: The Final Season. This will occur right after the last episode is set to be aired of The Final Season, so the question begs: will they announce an Attack on Titan second cour for the Final Season? Voice actors Yuki Kaji, Yui Ishikawa, Marina Inoue, Hiroshi Kamiya, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Natsuki Hanae and Ayane Sakura will all be in attendance at the panel. This definitely bodes well for some kind of announcement. Attack on Titan’s final season has been dominating the television airwaves, being rated the largest television show in America, and is dominating IMDB ratings with the best television episodes of all-time. There has been speculation that Attack on Titan will end with a series of films after the initial 16 episodes of The Final Season air, but due to COVID, this may not be a possibility. We’ve already seen films like the final installment of the Rebuild of Evangelion be delayed indefinitely due to COVID, and it is not a prime time to release a film due to restrictions in Japan. A second cour, giving MAPPA the chance to properly finish out the series, seems much more likely and ideal. When a second cour will take place is anyone’s guess, but given the number of guests at this special panel, there is bound to be some kind of announcement. The question is: will there be an Attack on Titan second cour?
