The Bloober Team has revealed that the horror game, Blair Witch, is coming to the Nintendo Switch very soon. On June 25, the game launches for $29.99 for players ready to be spooked. The developers behind this title are responsible for the hit horror games, Layers of Fear and Observer, so they’re very familiar with creating scares. This time, though, it’ll be on the go. A new trailer that depicts gameplay from the Switch version is available to view below.
This game’s story description is as follows:
“Blair Witch offers fans and players alike their own descent into madness through an original story inspired by Lionsgate’s iconic Blair Witch film. Set in 1996, a young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. Players experience the horror as Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, accompanied by his trustful canine companion, Bullet, investigate. Their story starts as they join the search for the missing boy, but players shortly discover the horrors that await as the woods twist and turn into an endless nightmare. Ellis will have to confront his fears, and his past, along with the mysterious force that haunts the woods.”
The Nintendo Switch version of Blair Witch is going to launch with the “Good Boy” update. This comes with customization options for the player’s canine companion including eye colors, fur attributes, and collars. A “Super Rex” mini-game is also available to play which is something fans of old cell phone games will want to check out. This title will utilize various aspect of the Switch as well, such as HD rumble, handheld mode, and touch screen support.
