THQ Nordic has just recently announced a new deal with Nickelodeon. THQ is set to revive select games associated with Nickelodeon properties. The full list of properties that are set to be revived is as follows:
- Avatar: The Last Airbender
- Back at the Barnyard
- Catscratch
- Danny Phantom
- El Tigre
- Invader Zim
- Jimmy Neutron
- My Life as a Teenage Robot
- Rocket Power
- Rocko’s Modern Life
- Rugrats
- Spongebob Squarepants
- Tak and the Power of JUJU
- The Fairly Oddparents (US only)
- The Ren & Stimpy Show
- The Wild Thornberrys
Thanks to this new agreement, gamers can look forward to remasters for games associated with the above IPs. The former THQ Inc. created many hit games under Nickelodeon properties such as Avatar: The Burning Earth, Nicktoons Unite!, and the hit Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom.
It is currently unknown when these remasters will be set to release. The plan is for these games to come to a new audience on current generation systems. There is also no confirmation of which games will be brought over specifically. Only games associated with the above properties are going to see re-releases. Fans can look forward to announcements in the coming months stating which games will be hitting store shelves.
