Pixar has officially entered the world of Kingdom Hearts in a new Kingdom Hearts trailer from D23 Expo Japan. Besides showing off the magnificent gameplay of Kingdom Hearts 3, the trailer has also given us a glimpse of both Monster’s Inc. and Toy Story entering the Fray. This is a shocking surprise, as none of Pixar’s characters have shown up in previous installments of Kingdom Hearts. A new trailer was recently released to show off these new characters in the game.

There is numerous gameplay shown, which looks spectacular. With the inclusion of Toy Story, the most successful Pixar franchise of all-time, it is sure to attract newcomers who have never played Kingdom Hearts. The trailer also shows a brand new Nobody who encounters Sora and crew, who seems to know them but they know nothing about him.

The game looks top-notch, from its visuals, the numerous Pixar characters that are seemingly some of the best the series has ever seen, and the gameplay. This will be a Kingdom Hearts that will not be forgotten. The game has been shrouded in mistery and Tetsuya Nomura is infamous for his delays of games; just look at Final Fantasy XV, a game he initially directed. Regardless, Kingdom Hearts 3 is slated for a 2018 release date on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox One. Whether it reaches this deadline is unknown, but for the sake of gamers, hopefully, it does.
