During their latest earnings call with investors, Ubisoft has announced that a new AAA game will be unveiled during their E3 conference. This would be in conjunction with their other two big titles slated to release this year.
The publisher plans to release three games in their upcoming fiscal year, The Crew 2, The Division 2, and this unannounced IP. Ubisoft did not state whether it was a sequel in an already established franchise, a spin-off, or an entirely new series. These three are expected to sell a combined 19 million copies.
Previously, Ubisoft expected a total of 23 million units to be sold. However, this was across four AAA games. The fourth being Skull & Bones, a pirate based adventure game, which has been delayed to 2019.
Many have begun to speculate over what this unannounced game may be. The most plausible being a surprise Splinter Cell reveal. Sam Fisher, the main protagonist of the series, has recently been involved with Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The franchise was also named in the big Walmart leak that was previously reported.
Ubisoft’s E3 conference will take place on Monday, June 11 at 1 PM PST/4 PM EST. Gamers can view their presser on all major streaming websites, as well as social media.
