Recently, Blizzard has been focused on fixing various latency issues and problems logging in because of Battle.net issues. This has been affecting all of Blizzard’s games that use Battle.net, which include Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and Hearthstone. Blizzard, at the time of writing this article, has stopped all attacks and players are able to log back into Battle.net. The increasingly notorious hacker group known as PoodleCorp have claimed responsibility. This same group of hackers were responsible for the attack on the new servers of Pokemon GO. PoodleCorp most likely targeted Blizzard due to the fact that they had dropped their new update for Overwatch just that day, making it a prime time to maximize the impact of any attack. From PoodleCorp’s recent activity, they are sure to be back in the near future, although hopefully they are put to a stop soon.
