Nintendo has announced a Nintendo Direct for February 9. While the Direct may not be massive in scale, the presentation is 40 minutes long; it is Nintendo’s first set of announcements since E3. The are so many games that Nintendo’s kept under wraps, but the one I would like to see the most is more of The Breath of the Wild 2. It would also be amazing if we’re finally shown Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Both orignals were made during the initial launch rush, and Xenoblade, while selling under 2 million units, still did incredibly well considering its niche genre. There are probably many other games that we don’t know about that are in the pipeline. Nintendo started being smart with then ditched their annual press conference, using the Nintendo Directs to bring the information straight point.
At this point it’s not about winning or losing; these companies are so vastly different. Nintendo has a standard of excellent attached to them. My fondest memories are of my Dad and I playing A Link to the Past. Those were the days. Unfortunately, Sony and Microsoft are trying to buy up as many studios. Ultimately, I don’t think that will work because and of all companies Nintendo proves this. They don’t have a large third-party lineup, bu their first person-lineup is spectacular.
