During the Monster Hunters Story stage event at the Tokyo Game Show on Tuesday, producer Ryogo Tsujimoto announced that there was a Monster Hunter movie in production.

“While it isn’t related to Stories, there is a Hollywood movie adaptation of the main series in progress.”

While no additional information was released, Monster Hunter is one of the most popular Nintendo franchises in Japan. Although many live-action adaptations have gone by the wayside and have fallen through, we are interested in seeing how this pans out, given the popularity of Monster Hunter.
