Sales for EA’s high-definition remaster of the Mass Effect TrilogyMass Effect Legendary Edition, have exceeded expectations according to the company. The remaster of the original Mass Effect games, which came out in May, has also renewed calls for a Mass Effect 4 after the disaster that was Andromeda. The original game was completely overhauled, including a new UI and graphics upgrade, and is finally on par with Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. News of the game’s sales come courtesy of the company’s quarterly earnings report. EA CEO Andrew Wilson had this to say about the game’s sales.

“The launch of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, the remaster of the first three Mass Effect games, reignited the passion of fans around the world, driving sales performance well above our expectations.”

It’s great to hear that Mass Effect Legendary Edition’s sales have exceeded expectations and was a huge reason why the company had such a successful quarter. Mass Effect is such a beloved franchise. Expectations were enormous after the original trilogy was released, but sadly after the failure that was Andromeda, the series fizzled out. Legendary Edition has reinvigorated the fanbase and their appetite for more Mass Effect. Let’s hope that this becomes a reaility. Mass Effect 4 has so much potential.
