In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we saw a Luke who resembled an Obi-Wan Kenobi-like figure, clad in white. We’ve seen some images of Luke from The Last Jedi and he has alternated between a white and a brown costume. Luke Skywalker’s new look in The Last Jedi may actually resemble his Return of the Jedi days. A new promotional picture of Luke from a Hungarian Magazine, Cinemania Mozimánia, shows him clad in black! Given how secretive Lucasfilm and Disney are regarding the franchise, it is possible that this will be Luke’s main wardrobe in the film.

Could Luke’s costume at the end of The Force Awakens have been a misnomer? Is Luke a gray Jedi, somewhere in-between the light and the dark? We won’t know for sure until December 15 when The Last Jedi releases, but Rian Johnson’s iteration in the Star Wars saga promises to be a true work of art.
