The Link’s Awakening map has been recreated in Minecraft. This is an impressive feat, considering the dungeons and overworld were created as well on the Minecraft platform. The recreation was done by user Pickledscones and is one of the most impressive Minecraft recreations I have ever seen. Boss battles, houses, and every tree were recreated; it’s incredibly realistic. You can find more images here to see the sheer scope of the project.

Link's Awakening Map Recreated in Minecraft

Link’s Awakening is one of the most prolific Zelda games, and one of the most detailed. Recreating the map is no small feat. Yet Pickledscones did a masterful job in creating the world and maintaining the feel of the game. You can play Link’s Awakening remake on the Nintendo Switch and the original on the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo GameBoy, and the Nintendo GameBoy Color. It’s one of the most underrated Zelda games and the HD remake catapulted it to elite status, making it one of the best Zelda games. It may not be in the top five, but it’s very close. It’s a very personal story and is very similar to Majora’s Mask in this respect.

The Link’s Awakening map recreated in Minecraft is nothing short of spectacular, and hopefully, Pickledscones has some more Zelda projects up his sleeve.
