Famitsu has released their Japanese sales numbers from November 4 through November 11 for both hardware and software. The Nintendo Switch and the Switch Lite eviscerated the competition in hardware sales, with the PlayStation 4 Pro finishing in a distant third place. This isn’t completely surprising considering the PlayStation 4 is winding down, but Death Stranding did just release, so the disparity in the numbers is rather startling. The PlayStation Vita finished in last place, selling a laughable 22 units.
- Switch – 54,249
- Switch Lite – 34,523
- PS4 Pro – 8,546
- PS4 – 7,264
- New 2DS LL – 1,720
- New 3DS LL – 54
- Xbox One S – 34
- Xbox One X – 30
- PS Vita – 22
On the software side of things, Death Stranding debuted on the chart and beat out Luigi’s Mansion 3 for the top spot. Among the top 10, there were six Nintendo games, including Ring Fit Adventure, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Minecraft, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which cannot seem to stop selling units.
