The Xbox One backward compatibility program just got a little bit bigger. Konami has collaborated to make Silent Hill HD Collection and Silent Hill Homecoming available starting today. Larry Hryb (Major Nelson) announced this via his Twitter earlier in the day.

Both games are currently available to purchase on the Xbox Digital Marketplace. Those that own the disc versions can simply pop it into the console and the game will play. One interesting thing to note about the Silent Hill: HD Collection is that it runs off of unfinished code. This is due to Konami losing the original source code to Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. Hijinx Studios was then forced to recreate the code to the best of their abilities.
These games join Dante’s Inferno and R.U.S.E. as the newest additions to the backward compatibility lineup. There are now over 400 Xbox 360 titles available to play on the Xbox One. Notable selections include Call of Duty: Black Ops, Sonic Generations, Bioshock Infinite, and Alan Wake.
During E3 2017, Microsoft announced that select Original Xbox games will also be available to download and play. Fans have been treated to Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Jade Empire.
