In addition to the three new amiibo, many of the original Super Smash Bros. line of characters will be re-released. It is unknown when exactly they are going to launch but it will be later this year. Each re-release is set to be priced at $12.99.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was officially introduced during Nintendo’s E3 Direct. Series creator, Masahiro Sakurai, showed off every character that was returning alongside the phrase, “Everyone is Here!” This meant that Wolf, Ice Climbers, Pokémon Trainer, and even Metal Gear Solid’s Snake are to be playable. New characters Daisy, Inkling, and Ridley were also announced for the game.
The hit fighting game first debuted back on the Nintendo 64 in 1999. Since then, the series has seen five installments, including a release on the 3DS. It has been a staple among the competitive community, even being featured in the EVO tournament. Smash Bros. is a game that can be enjoyed by both casual and hardcore fighting fans.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will launch exclusively on the Nintendo Switch December 7, 2018. Check out our coverage of the game from E3 2018 here.
