Mass Effect Andromeda will not have a Season Pass. This was confirmed by Bioware’s general manager Aaryn Flynn. This is a very interesting thing seeing as Bioware’s previous hit Dragon Age: Inquisition included a rather controversial micro-transaction feature in its multiplayer. As of right now it is unknown whether or not Mass Effect Andromeda will have any paid DLC or not. When asked about their plans, Aaryn Flynn said, “We’ll talk more about that later.“.
Titanfall 2 is a recent EA title of no deniable importance or budget that has released without a season pass after it’s predecessor having one, just as Mass Effect seems to be doing. Titanfall 2 has not released any paid DLC thus far but has released free DLC. This is the best example we have to look at to figure out just what Bioware’s plans regarding DLC for their new title might be. Until they announce it however, players will at least get a chance to take part in Mass Effect Andromeda‘s early access period if they are subscribed to EA Access or Origin Access.
Mass Effect Andromeda releases March 21st on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
