Rockstar Games has teased an image of a Red Dead Redemption sequel on their Twitter account. This is not the first hint of the game though; months ago, a supposed map leaked of the upcoming title.

The original Red Dead Redemption was released in 2010 and was an open-world action-adventure game set in the Wild West in the early 1900s. It was met with much critical acclaim and popularity, winning multiple GOTY awards and attained a 95 score on Metacritic.

One of the most interesting rumors about this Red Dead Redemption sequel is that it’s actually a prequel. None of this is confirmed, but it wouldn’t come as a surprise. The first trailer for the game is rumored to hit as early as Thursday, and that will give us a definitive answer.
