Rockstar Games has shown off a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming game, Red Dead Redemption 2. The nearly four and a half minute video highlights key features including deadeye, bounties, and various in-game activities. The full gameplay reveal can be seen below. Choices and decisions are planned to shape each individual playthrough. Eating, shaving, bathing, and choosing weapons can all have a major impact on the characters that interact with the player. Being scruffy and smelly leaves NPCs disgusted and repulsed so much so that they’ll run away. Behavior has consequences, as well, meaning actions are remembered. How the player acts with the world results in how the world responds to the player. Many activities return such as five finger fillet, card games, loan sharking, burglarizing homes, and holding up shops. In addition to this, heists are planned to make an appearance. Exploration is a major feature of this world. Every area is filled with wild-life, rival gangs, towns, or just simply countryside. All of these are deadly and dangerous, so players should tread lightly. First-person mode is to be available from the start of the game unlike Grand Theft Auto V’s being added as a later update. A new cinematic camera also allows for “stunning views” that the player can observe and enjoy. The highly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 hits store shelves on October 26 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A PC version has not been announced.
