The UK software sales have been released for this past week in February, and Nintendo continues to dominate. The Switch has a total of five of the top 10 titles, decimating its competition, and four of the top six games. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury holds steadfast at number one, with Fifa 21 at number two; Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at number three; Animal Crossing: New Horizons at number four; Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War at number five; Minecraft for Switch at number six; Grand Theft Auto 5 at number seven; Ring Fit Adventure still holding strong at number eight; Spider-Man: Miles Morales at number nine; and finally, Just Dance 2021 at number 10.

With Nintendo announcing their first half of 2021 with their latest Nintendo Direct, it will be very interesting to see how this chart will evolve as the year goes on. Will Nintendo continue to dominate? What’s also interesting is that a few of the Switch games here are not new games; in fact, some are a year (or almost a year) old, which shows the longevity of Nintendo games. It falls straight into their strategy and we’ll have to see whether games like Skyward Sword HD crack the top 10 for an elongated period of time.
