An interesting thing happened today. The official Twitter accounts of Nintendo of America and Tony Hawk began bantering about Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 coming to the Nintendo Switch. This is rarely seen if a game is not coming to a system, and is all but an official announcement for the game’s release. The two classic games are the best skating games ever made, and if they come to Nintendo’s hit console it will be a big deal.

I have a lot of fond memories growing up and playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 on the PlayStation 2. I was in high school and there are a lot of memories of me and my sister playing together. It was a game that brought people together, much like the Nintendo Switch, and would be a perfect fit for the system. Nintendo has had some Tony Hawk games on their consoles; I owned one for the Wii which was more of a spinoff game than anything else. Having the two best skating games of all-time on your system, games that are classics is yet another step for Nintendo in completing their dominance of the video game industry. And quite frankly, I’m very excited to see whether this happens or not. As of now, it looks incredibly likely, but no official announcement has been made, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
