Earlier in the week, we showed you Skyward Sword’s Skyloft recreated within Breath of the Wild. Today, we’re going to show you Ocarina of Time recreated in Unreal Engine 4. YouTuber Yianni Papazis has managed the feat, and the end result is glorious. With so much clamoring over Zelda’s 35th Anniversary, many are hoping for an Ocarina of Time HD. This demo, created within Unreal Engine 4, shows the sheer potential brought to life. This is the best recreation of Ocarina of Time in HD, by far. In fact, it’s one of the best recreations of a game in HD period. The demo covers Hyrule Castle Town, the Temple of Time, and portions of Hyrule Field.

This is absolutely stunning. I cannot reiterate this enough. Zelda is Nintendo’s most storied franchise, and seeing Ocarina of Time, one of, if not, the greatest game of all-time brought to life in true high definition shows the potential of what Nintendo can do with the game. At this point, simply porting Ocarina of Time 3D to the Nintendo Switch isn’t good enough. Nintendo needs to rebuild the game from the ground up and release it on the Switch to celebrate Zelda’s 35th anniversary. This Ocarina of Time remake in Unreal Engine shows the game’s true potential. If fans can do this, Nintendo can do it. Now make it happen.
