The wait is no more. No More Heroes III finally has a release date and will come out this summer on August 27, 2021, Nintendo announced during their most recent Nintendo Direct. The series is as whacky as ever, with Travis facing off against aliens this time around. The No More Heroes franchise was established by Suda51 on the Nintendo Wii in 2007, and since then, hasn’t looked back. The second installment in the series, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle came out in 2010 for the Nintendo Wii. Both games utilized the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. After an 11-year absence, Travis Touchdown is back. A port of the original games made their way to the Nintendo Switch in late 2020 and sold very well in the West according to the game’s publisher. No More Heroes III looks like an absolute delight, with the spirit of the originals. After 14 years, and 11 years since the game’s last installment on a Nintendo system, the series endures, which is beyond impressive. Considering it’s releasing in August, it strengthens Nintendo’s summer lineup, especially with Skyward Sword HD coming out in July, a full month before No More Heroes III. This means Travis Touchdown’s latest outing won’t be overshadowed by the Zelda title, which is a good thing.

Once again, No More Heroes III comes out on August 27 of this year.
