Pokemon Sword and Shield continue to impress, even a year after the game’s release. Pokemon has staying power and there’s no doubt Nintendo has some wonderful surprises in store for us for the series’ 25th anniversary. On a Japanese variety show, Oha Suta, they announced a brand new Max Battle Raid event for Pokemon Sword and Shield. This is in part to celebrate the release of the latest Pokemon movie, Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle. A number of Pokemon will be featured, including Cramorant. You can win various items under the following conditions.

– If 500,000 people beat level 100 Cramorant, all players will receive a gift of a Flame Orb, Toxic Orb, and Light Ball
– If 500,000 people beat level 100 Cramorant, all players receive a gift of a Gold Bottle Cap, 3 Bottle Caps, and 3 Pearl Strings

The Max Raid Battle begins on February 4 and will probably last until February 8. Nintendo has done a great job of supporting Pokemon Sword and Shield, and this latest Max Raid Battle event is yet another example of that. Pokemon is one of Nintendo’s greatest franchises, and the support they give it is unreal. It will be very interesting to see what Nintendo does with the series’ 25th anniversary and if those rumors of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl on the Switch are real.
