Niantic and Nintendo have made a slew of announcements over the past week relating to Pokemon GO. Now, they have two more that they’ve shared with the rest of the world. The announcement is a sweepstakes for the Pokemon GO: Kanto event they recently announced. It involves Twitter and clothes, and…well…we’ll let the Pokemon GO team tell you about it in their own words.

Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto is almost here, and we just can’t wait! As the debate over which version continues, what better way is there to show off your selection than a snazzy color-coordinated outfit?

Have a favorite green hat or red shirt you’re planning on wearing? Post a photo on Twitter of you wearing clothes representing your version using either #PokemonGOTourRed or #PokemonGOTourGreen from Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. PST (GMT −8). We’ll then randomly select 20 winners! Each winner will receive a code for a prize pack containing 50 Poké Balls, six Max Revives, and three Incense. Winners can redeem their code on the Niantic Labs Offer Redemption site.

No purchase necessary. Must be 18+ to enter. Check out Niantic Social Media Promotion Terms and Conditions for additional details.

During the event, be sure to share photos of how you’re participating using #PokemonGOTour—you might see your picture featured in the app during the event!

That’s quite something. As Pokemon GO continues to roll ahead at a brisk pace, hopefully, Nintendo can take some notes and make some announcements for Pokemon’s 25th anniversary.
