The Mass Effect Legendary Edition has a special treat as a pre-order bonus at Best Buy — a Steelbook Case! This is by far one of the best pre-order bonuses in recent years that doesn’t include an extra cost, the best being back in 2001-2002 with the Ocarina of Time Master Quest disc for The Wind Waker. The Mass Effect Legendary Edition was long rumored, but never confirmed until recently. In fact, years ago, Bioware flat-out denied that they would remake and remaster the trilogy, saying it would be too difficult given the discrepancy between Mass Effect 1 and the other games. But here we are.

The release of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition wil be sure to reinvigorate the fanbase, but is this a sign that there is a new Mass Effect game in the works? Will we be able to play as Commander Shepard once more? It’s certainly not out of the question. The original Mass Effect trilogy is one of the most beloved set of games in all of gaming, and Mass Effect 2 is heralded as one of the best games of all-time, although personally I like Mass Effect 3 better, but that’s splitting hairs. There are definite ways to bring Commander Shepard back. Let’s hope Bioware finds a way for a possible Mass Effect 4.

You can pre-order Mass Effect Legendary Edition from Best Buy, steelbook case included, here. Happy Hunting!
