EA and Bioware have dropped the first screenshots for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and they are stunning. The trilogy is completely remastered and optimized for 4K Ultra HD, according to the official site. In addition, it has “enhanced visuals, textures and models. Including modern graphic improvements, updated UI, and more.” Electronic Arts released six screenshots to illustrate just how good the Legendary Edition looks. In short, Mass Effect has never looked more incredible. It truly does the series justice, finally. The trilogy is one of the greatest gaming trilogies of all-time, and finally it’s getting the treatment so many other high-quality titles have gotten this generation. It was probably a good thing Bioware and EA waited this long, as they were able to give the game(s) the remaster they deserve.

This is how Mass Effect is meant to be experienced. There is also a nice mix of screenshots from Mass EffectMass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3. Shepard versus the Reaper in Mass Effect 3 is one of the standout battles in the series. Sovereign on the Citadel is iconic from Mass Effect. The Illusive Man looks incredible, as does Thane. This is just a preview of what’s yet to come though. As May 14 quickly approaches, we’re sure to get more news. Until then, enjoy these Mass Effect: Legendary Edition screenshots.
