Sony PlayStation’s recent exclusive hit, God of War has gotten a new mode. In a press release, Santa Monica Studios announced that in their latest free update, Photo Mode will be available to all players.
“While you’ve been busy enjoying the game, we’ve been hard at work preparing Photo Mode for prime time. And the wait is over! With Patch 1.20, you’ll be able to jump into the director’s chair and experience God of War through the lens of your own camera. Just fire up the game, ensure you’re connected online, and you’ll be prompted to update.“
To access the new feature, gamers will have to head to the Options Menu or enable TouchPad Quick Access in the settings. Photo Mode includes a vast amount of different options to create different snapshots. The official release detailed that the camera could be adjusted, filters can be added, borders may be included, and facial adjustments are able to be altered.
More games are beginning to implement this feature, specifically AAA games. Previously, it had been seen in titles such as Uncharted 4, The Last of Us Remastered, and Super Mario Odyssey. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild even included a photo mode. It is a feature that is very well received by gamers and allows for fun, creative snapshots to be shared with the community.
Hopefully this trend continues and more new releases begin to implement this wonderful feature.
