Reggie Fils-Aimé came to The Game Awards 2017 with a very special announcement. Two in fact. He first revealed that Bayonetta 1 &2 are coming to the Nintendo Switch on February 18, 2018. Many missed out on the games for the Wii U, so this is a very pleasant surprise. With the Switch’s massive success, this will give many people the opportunity to play both the classic and its sequel. The Bayonetta games were developed by Platinum Games and if it weren’t for Nintendo, Bayonetta 2 would have never happened.

Bayonetta 3 Coming to Nintendo Switch

Reggie wasn’t done there though. Nintendo didn’t come all the way to Geoff Keighly’s Game Awards simply to announce a port for the Nintendo Switch. Reggie revealed that Bayonetta 3 is in development exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. Once again, Platinum games, who developed Nier Automata (the game that deservedly won best music for 2017), is going with Nintendo.

Bayonetta 3 Coming to Nintendo Switch

The teaser for Bayonetta 3 was not even a minute long and didn’t represent actual gameplay. It’s still enough to have fans go crazy though. We don’t have a release date for it, and it would probably come out the earliest during the 2018 holiday season. Given the games Nintendo has already announced going into the future, this is just one more exclusive Nintendo is getting, from a third-party developer no less.

Nintendo fans have every reason to be ecstatic right now.
