Famitsu’s most wanted games for August 1 have been announced, and there are a number of Nintendo Switch games among them. As always, there is a little bit of a delay between when the votes were taken and when the list is released. The votes for this list of most-wanted games were cast between July 14 and July 20. Among them, there are six Switch games in the top 10; Bayonetta 3 comes in at number three; Breath of the Wild 2 comes in at number four; Shin Megami Tensei V comes in at number five; Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl come in at number six; Splatoon 3 comes in at number eight, and Ushiro comes in at number nine. Among the top 30, there are 13 Switch games. Here is the full list.

Metroid Dread comes in at number 13, just outside the top 10. It will be interesting to see how Switch games perform moving forward into the second half of the year, although many of these titles are 2022 games, and who knows if Bayonetta 3 even comes out. Many of the games are also duplicates for different platforms. This makes it difficult to gauge which platform, the PlayStation 5 or the Nintendo Switch, has more anticipated games than one another. Suffice to say though, the future is very bright for gaming.
